The choice of wood consists of a classic chambered mahogany body with a maple top, a mahogany neck and an ebony fingerboard. On the hardware side, a "Bigsby B7GP String-Thru" vibrato system is installed, which guarantees good tuning stability. As a special feature, the Gretsch G6229TG is adorned with the stylish "Script" logo, which can be found on the headstock instead of the usual italic logo and is supposed to remind of the golden days of Gretsch. All in all this "Gretsch G6229TG Limited Edition Jet" is an extremely successful instrument that is only released in a strictly limited edition.
