The Suprocaster is based on the old "Coodercaster" Supro/Oahu/Valco lap steel pickups, but it's a "string-through" without the "string-through." It features two big, powerful ceramic 8 bar magnets stuck to the back of the steel baseplate that the polescrews thread into, producing a big, diffuse magnetic field. Imagine a beefy tele or a really clear P90 with a bell-like sustain for days. Or better yet, don't imagine anything. Watch the videos and check out the soundclips.
