The EHX Attack Decay is a Tape Reverse Simulator pedal that creates volume swells, backward tape effects, bowed sounds, and staccato notes. A 2019 reissue of a rare 1980s unit, it features adjustable envelope controls (Attack/Decay), a built-in Harmonics fuzz circuit, an effects loop, and a polyphonic mode for independent note tracking.



Key Features and Capabilities:

Volume Envelopes: Creates slow swells (like a violin) or fast staccato, bow-instrument sounds.

Mono vs. Poly Mode: Mono applies one envelope to your entire signal; Poly gives each note its own envelope for complex passages.

Built-in Fuzz: A built-in "Harmonix" distortion circuit with dedicated volume, tone, and gain controls to enhance the swell effect.

Effects Loop: Allows inserting other pedals into the envelope generator, enabling unique combinations (e.g., reverb swells).

Control Layout: Features Volume, Blend (Dry/Wet), Attack, Decay, and Sensitivity controls.
